Growing up with a service dog named Tundra, animals have always been a huge part of my life. Tundra was enabled me to perceive dogs as true companions rather than house pets. This perspective is embedded in the work I do today, and I consider myself quite lucky to have the opportunity to work with dogs.
My petsitting career began in third grade when Tundra passed away because my heart could not bear to be without a dog. I reached out to my neighbors and walked their dogs on a daily basis. As a ex-volunteer at the Humane Society, I have had the opportunity to engage with dogs who hold incredibly diverse needs and personalities. For the past five years, I have been working with dogs and their families to provide dog-walking, off-leash adventure trips, and overnight care. Along with two colleagues, I helped to establish Canine Adventure Camp in the Bay Area in the summer of 2017. Now, I am expanding some of our services to the Santa Cruz area. Nothing makes me happier than knowing I can help brighten a dog’s day!
My Furry Friends
My two dogs, Tipsy (left) and Taco (right), still live in the Bay Area with my parents. Both dogs were rescued and they are the best breed around – mutts! A few of our favorite things to do together include hiking (off-leash, of course), beach trips, kayaking, snuggling, and road-tripping.
Tipsy is ten years old - he loves food and making new friends. Taco is almost nine and she's more shy than her brother. Once she has warmed up to someone, however, her love shines through. The two are a great pair together and keep each other great company.

Canine Adventure Camp
Created in the summer of 2017, Canine Adventure Camp was started by a group of dog lovers: Zöe Gaumer, Martha Cabot and myself. We wanted to combine our experience of working with dogs and offer unique services to our community. Now, Zöe is studying at the Bergin Institute for Canine Studies and will be working at a rescue shelter in San Francisco over the summer. Meanwhile, Martha is studying at UCLA.
